“WHAT IS A BOO?”
A traditional BOO comes with a spooky, festive sign you stick in a friend’s yard and a treat bag that you leave at their door. Ring the doorbell, run away, and watch the enjoyment as your friends come outside to find the yard sign and surprise. Now it’s their chance to purchase a BOO and pass on the excitement!

This year, you can BOO a neighbor or BOOst a student. Either way, you're helping create opportunities for children in the Avenue community.
BOO A NEIGHBOR
Spread the Halloween fun! Purchase a traditional BOO! Kit (sign + treats) to surprise a friend, neighbor, or a student in the Avenue community. Proceeds from every BOO! Kit support Fuse Project programs that help local students learn, grow, and thrive.
BOOst A STUDENT
Turn your BOO into opportunity. Skip the treats and make your impact go even further by putting your purchase directly toward a program or need supporting students in the Avenue community. Choose a specific way to make an impact or give where it’s needed most. In return, you’ll receive a special “I BOOsted a Student!” sign for your own yard showing that your Halloween spirit is helping create opportunity for local kids.
At checkout, you’ll choose where you’d like your BOOst to make an impact:
Sponsor Swim Lessons – Help a student build water safety skills and confidence through Avenue Swim Club.
Stock the School Store – Help provide incentives that reward students for attendance, academics, and positive behavior.
Support Teacher Appreciation – Help us celebrate and encourage the educators who show up for students every day.
Fund an Enrichment Experience – Help give students access to field trips, extracurricular activities, and new experiences.
BOOst Where It’s Needed Most – Let Fuse Project put your gift toward the area where it can make the greatest impact.
HOW TO BOO!
Step 1: ORDER Your BOO! Project Kit Today
Ready to join the fun? Choose a traditional BOO! Kit or give a BOOst, then place your order online.
Beginning September 30, BOO! Kits and BOOst signs will be delivered within 72 hours throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties. If you order multiple signs or kits, they’ll all be delivered to your address for you to distribute.
Step 2: BOO! Your Friends and Neighbors
It's time to become the neighborhood ghost! Secretly place the BOO! Project sign in the yards of your friends and neighbors, then surprise them with delightful Halloween treats (included in the kit) at their doorsteps, all while staying incognito. It's an exciting Halloween tradition that will get everyone talking. The ultimate goal? To have a BOO yard sign on every lawn in your neighborhood.
Prefer to leave the haunting to us? Select our “BOO For Me” option for an additional $5 per kit, and let the BOO Crew handle the surprise! When you add this option to your cart, you’ll be prompted to provide your recipient’s delivery information, and we’ll secretly deliver the sign and treats directly to their doorstep for you.
Want to send a BOO to a student in the Avenue instead? Choose “BOO For Me” and simply note on the delivery form that you’d like your BOO to go to a student. You’ll even have the opportunity to choose which Avenue school (Florence Howard Elementary, Calloway-Smith Middle, or Pathway K-5). We’ll take care of the rest!
NOTE: Please allow an additional 24 hours for delivery when choosing “BOO For Me”.
Step 3: Share the SCARE
Take pictures and videos BOO’ing your friends and neighbors to post to social media using #BOOProject2026. Be sure to tag Fuse Project (find our social links below) and share that your friends and followers can also get their BOO! Project kits at fuseproject.org/boo.
Step 4: Make an IMPACT while you BOO!
Spread some Halloween spirit and help spark opportunity! At the heart of BOO! Project is a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their ZIP code. Proceeds from BOO! Project help Fuse Project expand access to educational programs and opportunities that help students in the Avenue community learn, grow, and thrive.
Last year, BOO! Project raised $10,000 to support Fuse Project’s ABC Academic Support Programs—and every BOO and BOOst this year helps us continue that impact.
Want to make your impact even more personal? When you BOOst a Student, you can choose to direct your purchase toward swim lessons, the school store, teacher appreciation, enrichment experiences, or wherever it’s needed most. You’ll also have the option at checkout to add an additional donation to make an even bigger impact. When you do, we’ll add an “Extra Spirited” sticker to your BOO! sign in recognition of your generosity.

Flicker & Friends
The Ghost with the Most Glow
Legend has it that one magical Halloween night, a friendly ghost drifted through our community carrying a tiny lantern. The lantern’s flame pulsed with ideas, kindness, and possibility. Wherever Flicker went, it lit the way for brighter futures, inspiring neighbors to come together and give back.
Soon, other happy little ghosts felt the pull of Flicker’s light. They became Flicker & Friends—a cheerful crew of good-hearted haunters who show up each October to spark joy, ignite generosity, and fuel Fuse Project’s mission of supporting high-quality education programs that make a lasting difference for local children.

Flicker & Friends love to dress up for Halloween!
Every year, their costumes take a little inspiration from the work (and fun!) happening at Fuse Project. Check out this year’s look and a few favorites from Halloweens past:
2026: Making a Splash! 🏊♂️ – Flicker & Friends are trading their usual ghostly garb for swimsuits and getting ready to dive in! This year’s costumes shine a light on our Avenue Swim Club, which gives children the opportunity to build water safety skills, confidence, and a love of swimming. With more swim programming planned for this fall, Flicker & Friends are ready to make a splash and help raise the funds to keep kids in the water.
2025: Rockstars! 🎸 – Dressed to light up the stage and celebrate the show-stopping fun of Fuse Project’s Lip Sync Battle.
2024: Little Monsters 🧟 – Mini Frankensteins showing that even the smallest monsters can make a mighty impact.
2023: The OG Ghost Crew 👻 – Friendly classic ghosts who started it all and launched a new Halloween tradition.
