This year marked the return of the BOO! Project, an imaginative Halloween-themed fundraiser led by Fuse Project, which brought together families, neighbors, and sponsors in the spirit of spooky fun—all while raising critical funds for transformational education initiatives in the Avenue community. With just the right mix of holiday excitement, neighborhood connections, and meaningful impact, the BOO! Project has grown into an eagerly anticipated tradition that creates lasting opportunities for local children. This year’s project raised an incredible $13,000, directly funding Fuse Project’s Academic Support Program in the Avenue community.

What is BOO! Project?

BOO! Project is a unique fundraiser that lets families surprise their neighbors with BOO kits—complete with festive yard signs and treat bags that bring Halloween spirit right to their doorsteps. Each BOO kit comes packed with goodies, including Halloween treats, custom Reese’s Senior Bowl swag, color-changing cups, and a reusable “trick or treat” BOO bag. Participants purchase a BOO kit, plant the yard sign in a friend’s yard, and leave the treat bag at their doorstep for an unforgettable surprise. This sets off a ripple effect as the recipient can then “BOO” another neighbor, creating a chain reaction of Halloween fun throughout the community.

Fuse Project’s mission with BOO! Project is to bring neighbors together for a little Halloween trickery while creating a lasting impact for local children. The funds raised from each BOO kit provide students with access to educational resources and support, ultimately helping to close opportunity gaps for youth in the Avenue community.

Prize Giveaways

This year, we hosted two special giveaways as part of the BOO! Project. Carrie Ashbee was the lucky winner of our braces giveaway, while Ellie Edwards took home the prize for her participation in our social media challenge. Congratulations to both winners, and thank you for joining us in spreading the Halloween spirit!

BOO Bags for Honor Roll Students at Florence Howard Elementary

As part of our Academic Support Program’s student incentives, we brought BOO bags to Florence Howard Elementary School, where we surprised honor roll students with a little Halloween delight. This small gesture was our way of recognizing students’ hard work and encouraging a love for learning—a perfect tie-in with the project’s mission to support youth education.

We’re grateful for the Senior Bowl’s support in making this year's BOO! Project a true win for everyone! The Reese’s Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years.  More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 110 total picks, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL draft.
